Mum was so happy to finally see me get married. She had to wait 15 years for another big family event after Jas's wedding. So it was not entirely surprising that she turned into a bit of a mumzilla, but thankfully Jas was around to mediate. How else could we decide whether it was absolutely essential for me to wear a particular outfit prior to the big day, or take part in a particular tradition? Joking aside, I am so thankful to both mum and dad for making the day so special for me, accommodating me as much as they did and welcoming Ajit into the family as they did.
